The number of seats available in the RMS entrance exam can vary from year to year and from one RMS school to another.

RMS stands for “Rashtriya Military School.” These schools are run by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and they are known for providing quality education along with military training and discipline.

Boys & Girls both can apply in RMS for class 6th and class 9th.
For class 9th, girls can also apply w.e.f. 2023 exam cycle.
The reservation of seats has been categorized as mentioned:
70% seats are reserved for the wards of serving & retired JCOs/OR in Army, Navy & Air force.
30% seats for the wards of serving/retired of Army, Air force, Navy & Civilians
27%, 15% & 7.5% of the seats in each category are reserved for OBC, SC & ST.
A total of 50 seats reserved for the wards of personal killed in action.
10% seats wil be reserved for girl candidates for class 6th
(30 vacancies maximum, put together in all 5 RMSs)
Entrance Test –> Interview –>Medical —-> Result–> Final Selection
18th Oct’23 is the last date to apply for the academic session of 2024-25.
There are total 5 schools of RMS which comes under Ministry of Defence.
Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer & Dholpur (Rajasthan), Belgaum & Bangalore (Karnataka)
It conducts its examination once in a year, i.e. December.
