Admission to RIMC, RMS & Sainik Schools
These are all leading boarding schools , under ministry of defence. The admission to these schools is on the basis of an All India Exam. Both boys & girls can apply to these schools.
Rashtriya Indian Military College, (RIMC) Dehradun. Admission in class 8.
This is a unique institution. Admission Test happens twice a year, in June & in December.

A child born between 02nd January 2012 to 01st July 2013 can apply
DoB eligibility for December 2024 exam
A child born between 02nd July 2012 to 01st January 2014 can apply
Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS). Admission in class 6 & class 9.
There are 5 Rashtriya Military Schools in India. Admission test happens once a year , generally in December.

A child born between 01st April 2013 to 31st March 2015 can apply
Class 9th
A child born between 01st April 2010 to 31st March 2012 can apply
Sainik Schools. Admission in class 6 & class 9.
There are over 33 schools in India. Admission test happens once a year , generally in January.

A child born between 01st April 2013 to 31st March 2015 can apply
Class 9th
A child born between 01st April 2010 to 31st March 2012 can apply
UP Sainik School , Lucknow, Gorakhpur. Admission in class 6 & class 9.
This is the first Sainik School of the country. Also known as Capt. Manoj Pandey Sainik School. Admission test happens once a year, generally in January.
One more sainik school was added in Gorakhpur in 2023. only students from UP can apply.
